Village centre development Honau

2/2 – The present project offers the opportunity to give Honau a village centre. The range of housing in the centre of Honau will be expanded with high-quality rental and owner-occupied flats. The planned new village square will be flanked by the municipal administration and the new Hirschen restaurant. The street space along the main road will be occupied by a continuous base storey on which four apartment blocks will sit. This area forms the transition from the private neighbourhood to the public zone and is also a noise barrier for the buildings behind it. The private residential area to the rear is connected to the public zone via a generous filter layer with a piazza/green space. The different building types are the architectural reaction to the view and sunlight. The size and position of the buildings, as well as the appropriate distances between the buildings, allow for above-average green spaces, with the „green“ extending generously through the entire development. The entire development is Minergie-certified. Ground probes and heat pumps ensure a comfortable climate, while solar panels cover part of the domestic hot water requirements. The development is traffic-free: cars are intercepted on the periphery and led into parking halls via small ramps.
